Cedar Park is located inland from Cairns on the cool Atherton Tablelands, halfway between Kuranda and Mareeba along the Kennedy Highway. Compared to Cairns, Cedar Park is located high up in the tablelands. Thus the temperature is usually 3 to 8 degrees cooler. There is a feeling of seclusion here, nestled at the end of a gravel road surrounded by national park. Visitors find it to be a centrally located oasis convenient to all there is to do in the area.
Both Kuranda and Mareeba are reached in 20 minutes from Cedar Park. If you rent a car at Cairns International Airport you will be at our door in 45 minutes.
We are a self-drive destination and do not provide pick-up service. You must have your own car or a rental car to visit us. This leaves you free to explore the area at your own pace and come and go as you choose. Set between the Barron Gorge Wet Tropic World Heritage and Dinden National Park, Cedar Park Rainforest Resort offers you a unique experience in the Australian rainforest. It’s all at our front door, the open eucalyptus bush, the rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef and all the attractions of Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands.
